Well it looks like weather is going to be an issue for Saturday golf, on the plus side Saturday is one of the few spare days in the program but weather permitting we will run a haggle for those that want to get out of the house.
Next week we kick off Captains trophy which is two rounds of stableford and best combined total will be crowned the winner.
21st of August we will be holding the Egmont Champs so I'm just getting my teeth into that, there will be $2000 in prizes so love to get all your support and I promise to go deep at the prize table, Taranaki Golf are using it as a trial so have a field of 30 odd playing 27 holes who will kick off a couple of hours before us but all 18 holers should be away before they come back through the front 9. They will also have their own prize division.
I would like to thank Scotty Campbell from Automatic Garage Doors/Glass & Glazing for helping with sponsorship for the Egmont Champs after the late withdrawal of the previous sponsor, without guys that step up to the plate it makes it difficult to run a decent event so thanks Scotty you da man.
Anyway that's a bit of an update on what's coming and for all the guys entering Top Dog clear the 28th August because only top 16 pairs make it and I'm picking there will not be any spare gaps.
