COOK  & MILLAR DEFEND TOP DOG TITLE

The Top Dog final was played on Saturday 10th with last years winners Murray Cook & Clay Millar playing Graham Kelly and Don Shearman.

After 9 holes there was nothing in it, but Kelly and Shearman sneaked ahead to be 2 up with 4 holes to play.

The Cook – Millar combination dug deep to win the next 3 holes to be 1 up playing the last.

With Kelly on the green for 3 with a shot, Cook pitched his third shot from 70 metres to within 3 metres of the flag, and after Kelly missing his birdie putt but securing a par and with the pressure on, Cook calmly holed his putt for a 1 up win.

Saturday 17th will be the first round of stableford for the Captains trophy with the best two of three round to count.
