Christmas Hampers

Its Hamper time so hopefully some of you have got out and supported fellow clubs who have been holding their Hampers, ours will be kicking into gear next Saturday the 3rd of December, which is our Open Hamper, we already have over 80 players registered in this 2 person Ambrose format, it would be fantastic to surpass lasts years 104 entries. It is my goal to payout Hams to 50% of the field, it is a best nett comp but we will have a prize for the overall best Gross as well, so 40 plus hams people so come and get yourself one by adding your entry which is $35pp.

The club Closed Hamper will follow on the 10th of December, I know I have listed it in the program as the Men's Closed Hamper but I want to open it up to the Ladies as well and make a great day of it, this will be a $20 entry fee, after the Hamper we will be handing out our Men's Club trophies for the 2022 season so be nice to have members there to acknowledge their successes.

December 17th will be our Last Chance Hamper; Hams are scaled back in size but so is the entry fee at $15 and will be mine and Brads last official tournament of 2022.

This Saturday is the Dead Duck Trophy which is a mass Ambrose with the field split equally into two by age and fondly known as Oldies vs Youngies, sadly I am cemented well in truly in the Oldies these days, but I think we are yet to be defeated by the youngies.

I do appreciate though for some of the golfers this is not their cup of tea as an event so I will also have a Stableford haggle running with a tee off before 11.30am and the Dead Ducker players I want to kick you off at 11.30am sharp, we will except late players but if they can let us know so we provide space in a team.

Last weekend we sent Jordan Anderson and Grant Kite to represent us at the Champion of Champions and they did the club proud with Jordan finishing runner up in the Senior Division and Grant winning the Intermediate section, sadly Matt MacDonald in the Junior section had to pull the pin due to unforeseen issues as we would have gone close to winning the Vin Young Trophy for best overall club.

2023 Men's Club Calendar will be finalized shortly but we have added a 3rd round to the Graham Cup and the Captains Trophy will be returned to its matchplay format where the best Junior will play the best Senior in the final with handicap in play of course, should be good.
