FedEx Cup Final

On friday the winner was found in the Under Dog Competition with Harley Cooper and Oli Campbell giving Troy Sorensen and Adam Kingston a wee touch up beating them by the 15th hole so conrats to those two lads.

Saturday saw 8 tee it up for the FedEx Final for a round of stableford where the stableford scores were doubled at the end and the extra points of where you qualified were then added on which gave all a fair chance to win whether from 1st or 8th place.

Winner on the day proved to be our top qualifier Tony Cawley but not by a lot from Michael Walsh and Murray Cook, next year I will put more thought into this comp so we can make finals day a larger event and hopefully rewarding those that play the club comps throughout the year, certainly a learning curve with this one.

Sunday some of you may have seen on social media that we sent a team to Taranaki Top Club in Inglewood where our team ended up placing second which was a fantastic effort in trying conditions, Oli Campbell won the junior mens section with 41 points, big thanks to Jordan Anderson, Grant Kite and Julie Erwood who also competed on the day and with the 4 combined stableford scores were ohh so close to winning it.

This Saturday sees us running for the first time a two day pairs ambrose, we have a good size field already but will take entries right up till the day, it is a mass tee off at 11 with a cooked breakfast and dinner. If you need more info on it just give me a call on 021936082
