New World 100 Club

Saturday we held the club’s annual 100 Club, start was delayed for half an hour an as promised the weather improved throughout the day.

Was great to see older members that don’t play on a Saturday and everybody had a good yarn over a beer and a meal.

The big winner in the draws was Mel Cook taking home the $1000, golfing wise it was Jordan Anderson taking out the Best Gross with a 68 and Vaughan Jones in the Senior division winning with 40 points and Mark Fraser played a blinder with 46 points to take out the junior division.

Attached below are the bulk of the scores as well as raffle and draw winners.

This Saturday there has been a change in the program bought about by 4 weeks in row being rained off, Captains Trophy will now be held over the next 3 Saturdays with the 2 best nett rounds out of 3 counting for the trophy, this will lead us into the Christmas Open Hamper where I already have 40 pairs entered so make sure you secure your preferred tee time as nearly all the tees taken off number 1 and moving into the 10th tee times.

The week after that is the Hawera Golf Club Christmas Hamper on the 9th December, we have moved our Closed Hamper to the 16th December because they are sending a bunch of players to come and play in our hamper and I would like to think we in turn can reciprocate and send a bunch of players to help there event and you might as well as that's where the Club Captains will be so be nothing organized in Stratford for the 16th LOL

Info on the two hampers is below, see you Saturday
