Saturday saw another great day for golf and the great conditions saw some really good scores made with none better than Chris Merson aka Gonzo racing to the lead with a superb 42 points, Vaughan Jones who is on a hot streak along with Ben Gibson and Carl Christie currently have a 3 way tie for second place, the second round in a couple of weeks should be quite the battle to see who reigns supreme.
This weekend is the annual Wairekei Wackers week away to duke it out for the Tombstone Trophy, I will put up a stableford haggle for those still at home for Saturday but will need someone to run it and also look after the bar so if there are any volunteers let me know or otherwise there will be nothing and the place will be locked up tighter than a drum.
Sunday saw our Men's Pennant team continue there winning way and are leading there section with 3 wins from 3 played and working themselves into semi final contention.
Only a few weeks left of the Egmont Plumbing Twilight nights so why the weather is still relatively mild come and join the fun, it has been one busy year for sure with nearly 50 fronting every week.
