Saturday threatened to be a washout with the conditions not fantastic but one by one players ventured out and braved the conditions to get the competition completed.
Sadly first round leader Brad Gibbons had to pull out after 9 for health reasons which opened the door for all the chasers, Leon Eagar took his chance and pounced and ran away with the Spedding Cup to win it by 5 shots from Terry Cooksley.
Things were much tighter in the Ennis Cup with first round leader Terrance Sayers determined to etch his name on the trophy but out of nowhere Nick Callingham pulled back a 6 shot deficit to tie Terrance and win the day on countback.
This Saturday is the first round of the Graham Cup which is run under the popular format of 2 man Ambrose, this is a 2 round comp and is decided on by best combined nett so you will be receiving a txt this week where I will need team entries so I can organize a draw so make sure you secure your spot early and txt me on 021936082
