Steve Bruce Triumphs in 2026 Summer Cup

The 2026 Summer Cup concluded after three highly competitive rounds, delivering strong scoring and a decisive result. Steve Bruce got off to a flying start, holding an early lead after an outstanding opening round nett 64. He followed this up with a composed nett 67 in the second round, finishing on a total nett score of 131, securing victory by a clear four-shot margin over the rest of the field.. Congratulations to Steve on a well-deserved win.

Alongside the Summer Cup, last weekend also featured the hugely successful Team Hope event, one of Team Hopes biggest fundraising event of the year. The event hit the ground running with a record full field, creating a fantastic atmosphere on the course and in the clubhouse throughout the day. A big thank you to all players, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the event such a success.

Winners of the Day were C Drummond, R Erwood, and S Jury, with numerous other spot prize winners recognised across the field. The generosity shown on the day and the level of participation once again highlighted the strength of our club and community.

Looking ahead, golfers can now turn their attention to this Saturday’s Stableford Haggle, followed by the popular Lions Two-Man Ambrose tournament, both promising more competitive and enjoyable golf.

For this Saturday’s Stableford Haggle:

• Play will be off the Yellow, White, or Blue tees

• Players may choose their preferred tee
